The Mobile Analytics Team is seeking a talented Lead Analytics Engineer to collaborate directly with data, analytics/data science, and product functions to transform data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. You will be focused on leading the analytics engineering function, you will build and maintain data pipelines and systems that enable efficient data analysis across the mobile portfolio. You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and analytics peers to build a foundational data layer that helps derive meaningful insights and recommendations, as well as furthering self-service and automation capability through new tools and AI integration.
Responsibilities include:
- Analytics Solutions: Partnering with analysts and data scientists to proactively identify and implement analytics solutions in support of the game development goals.
- Data Warehouse and ETLs: Develop and maintain data warehouses and related ETL progress to ensure a centralized and organized repository for data consumers.
- Data Integrity: Designing data solutions to ensure data integrity, reliability, and efficiency throughout our pipelines.
- Tools and Innovation: Partnering with data engineering, data analytics, and data science teams to identify innovative solutions to improve data accuracy, automation, and self-service capabilities.
- Leadership: Lead a functional team of up to 3 analytics and visualization engineers, with the option to take on managerial responsibilities.
- Technical Communication: Communicate technical findings and insights to non-technical partners clearly and understandably.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A BA/BS degree in a technical field is required, with a preference for majors in Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related areas. Equivalent practical experience is also highly valued.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in data modeling, warehousing, and the development of ETL pipelines, with a preference for experience in Airflow.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in SQL and python for querying complex datasets. The candidate should possess strong technical skills with a proven track record in data handling and manipulation.
- Data Visualization Competence: Familiarity with creating data visualizations using platforms like Tableau, Looker, or similar tools. The candidate should be capable of handling standard data visualization tasks and translating data into clear, informative visuals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong capability to work alongside business partners, understanding their needs and translating them into strategic and actionable insights. The role demands excellent communication skills to provide solutions.
- Industry-Specific Knowledge (Desirable): Experience in gameplay analytics is a big plus. Candidates should have a robust understanding of user engagement and monetization strategies, particularly in the domains of mobile gaming, entertainment, and e-commerce services.
