The Job
Assurance is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Analytics Engineer to join Analytics Engineering within the broader Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) team. You will be a crucial bridge between Data Engineering, Analytics, and Finance to hep drive real business value with data!

We are looking for someone who is business-focused and technically savvy. They get excited about working on end-to-end planning & delivery of a high quality data UX that drives real business value.
The Role
- Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Consumers to develop performant data models that unify analysis of cross-functional teams
- Write code & run ops for several languages and tools - SQL, Python, Spark, Trino, dbt, Databricks, Looker, Github, etc
- Automate manual Excel-based processes into production data pipelines to enable revenue recognition and cash-flow projection models
- Leverage your expertise in complex data analysis to aid the business in making data-driven decisions when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering, Data Scientist, Analytics Engineer, Analyst, etc role
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or other related BI tools
- Experience with data framework tools, such as dbt.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Python and/or Spark
- Experience with CI/CD automation
- Knowledge of the insurance and/or finance industry
- Experience with Trino or similar technologies.
