Sr. Analytics Engineer
You will be responsible for building quality into the analytics and instrumentation chapter. Your breadth of knowledge and ability to wear many hats means you provide guidance, hands-on support, creative problem solving, and enforcement mechanisms to ensure adherence to best practices in the analytics and data modeling stack. You will be expected to become the owner and first point of contact for critical systems within our ecosystem, and apply improvements to all under your stewardship.
Specifically, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for BI tools such as Tableau
- Provide ad hoc support to the data ecosystem including dbt, Mixpanel, and Segment
- Propose, develop, and own user-facing solutions, to be leveraged across BILL
- Actively contribute to and own migrations of business-critical data products

Qualifications
- BS/BA in a technical related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience required
- 4+ years of experience in a BI or analytics role
- 2+ years in financial services and/or SaaS companies
- Experience working in startup environments a plus
Competencies (attributes necessary to be successful in this role):
- Expert proficiency in at least one SQL variant
- Strong proficiency in Tableau or equivalent BI platform
- Significant experience in a user-facing role, providing direct support and administration
- Significant experience in at least one data warehouse platform
- Experience with Python
- History of owning and delivering complex standalone as well as collaborative projects
- History of leading small teams, either formally or informally, a plus
The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
Pay Range (Draper, UT): $116,800 - $140,300 USD
