Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Model Development: Craft and maintain scalable, efficient data models to power business applications and analytics, adapting to growing data demands.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually refine data models and architecture for enhanced performance and quality, aligning with changing business needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively address data challenges to boost business outcomes, using data-driven insights.
  • Platform Optimization: Enhance our data platform with best practices for improved performance, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Technology Adoption: Champion the latest data technologies and methodologies, staying ahead of industry trends to elevate team productivity and platform functionality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and foster a culture of data-driven excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a related role as an Analytics Engineer
  • Advanced SQL Expertise: At least 3 years of experience in crafting complex, highly optimized, and readable SQL queries, demonstrating excellence in database management and data manipulation.
  • Industry Experience: Solid background in the payments sector, with comprehensive knowledge in payment processing, fraud detection, risk management, and financial data analytics, reflecting a proven track record of addressing industry-specific challenges.
  • Data Modeling Proficiency: Skilled in data modeling, with a strong understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices, ensuring the creation of efficient, scalable data structures.
  • Modern Data Stack Experience: Solid experience with DBT, and analytics engineering best practices. Experience with our data stack, including Snowflake, DBT, GitHub, Secoda, and Looker, is highly desirable.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, highlighting a robust understanding of technical and analytical principles.
