Senior Analytics Engineer
We’re excited to be looking for our first-ever Senior Analytics Engineer to join our fast-growing Analytics & Insights team in Brooklyn, NY. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Analytics Lead, you'll build data models from the ground up and have the opportunity to establish best practices within a modern data stack (SnowFlake, dbt, & Looker). You’re the perfect person for this role if you are experienced in data and BI tool modeling, are excited to work with data from a wide variety of departments, and are highly motivated to work autonomously.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain scalable data models in dbt in order to (1) enable analysts to execute analysis and build dashboards and (2) improve data standardization, accuracy across reporting, and efficiency of a data stack
- Create explores in Looker to improve data standardization and accuracy across reporting in order to (1) enable analysts to build dashboards, (2) increase data socialization by giving stakeholders self-service data tools, and (3) improve data standardization and accuracy across reporting
- Work with data from a wide variety of departments, including site (digital product), customer, marketing, operations, and merchandising
- Partner closely with our team of data analysts and data engineers to set best practices within a modern data stack
We're looking for someone who brings
- 2+ years of experience in analytics; 1+ years of experience in analytics engineering
- Experience with data modeling (dbt is a plus!)
- Experience with BI tool modeling (Looker is a plus!)
- Highly proficient in SQL
- Strong sense of prioritization, high attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously
- Someone who is a big-picture thinker with an eagerness to define best practices in an ambiguous space
- Track record of improving inefficiencies
Compensation & Benefits
At Brooklinen, our goal is to offer a competitive total compensation package which we determine based on specific market data taking into account our company size, stage, industry, and location. The base salary range for this role is between $110K-$140K
Beyond base salary, we contribute significantly to offset the cost of health benefits, offer a 401K with a 4%% Safe Harbour match, grant a $1K annual wellness bonus, have commuter benefits, and also provide a yearly product allowance.
