Analytics Engineer / Senior Analytics Engineer
The Coterie Analytics team forwards strategy and operations across the organization through the ingestion, transformation, modeling, aggregation, and analysis of data. We partner closely with our stakeholders across the organization to make sense of and tell stories that drive better ideas, decisions, and outcomes.
As the Analytics Engineer / Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the efficacy, reliability, and scalability of our data infrastructure. You’ll drive superior customer experiences and increase LTV by using product analytics tools, statistics, and SQL to own Coterie’s digital data collection, modeling, and metrics in close partnership with the engineering and digital product teams. You’ll contribute to the development of Coterie’s data governance policies and champion stakeholder-facing and technical documentation to enable sustainable growth and stakeholder self-service. As the second member of the Analytics team, this is the ideal opportunity for someone with technical experience looking to grow in their leadership and make an impact.
Data Stack: Fivetran (some Stitch, Airbyte), dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, Hex, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
Areas of responsibility:
- Architect, build, and maintain lasting data modeling and BI solutions across a variety of data domains (growth, product, CX, finance, operations, etc.), with a core focus on digital.
- Monitor the health of our data pipelines and proactively discover (and solve) pain points.
- Support external agency and internal teams with CRO experimentation and new feature testing through the development of metrics and models to track impact.
- Increase data literacy and expertise through hands-on training and documentation.
- Collaborate on the establishment of data governance, engineering, and testing best practices.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years full-time experience in quantitative analysis roles, with a significant portion of that time focused on data modeling, developing pipelines, and designing processes.
- Expert-level SQL, with demonstrated expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Strong foundation in Python and version control (git), and some experience with command line.
- Strong experience with ingestion, orchestration, and transformation with tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, dbt, Fivetran, etc.
- Strong experience with BI tools, such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI, to enable self-service and tell stories with data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated track record of project ownership.

- Familiarity with GCP (Google BigQuery, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics) and SDKs
- Experience with product event tracking design and implementation processes — partnering with product and engineering personnel
- Experience with CDPs (Segment, Rudderstack) and/or product analytics tools (Amplitude, Heap)
- Experience with experimentation tools, such as Google Optimize, Optimizely, or Eppo and statistics in the context of A/B testing
- Proven passion and talent for teaching fellow engineers and non-engineers
The expected salary for this role is $110,000 - $160,000, depending on a number of factors including job, level, experience and skill set.
