Analytics Engineer

$75,000 - DOE
Location
Tempe, AZ; Hybrid; This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
The Analytics Engineer will support the development and optimization of data solutions that enable teams to make better data-driven decisions. The role will involve building, maintaining, and delivering key reports and dashboards; collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with business needs; and assisting stakeholders by providing data and insights to guide decision-making.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, finance, economics, computer science, data science, etc.) preferred.
- Some experience (e.g., 1-4 years) in an analyst or data role such as data analysis, data engineering, business intelligence, operations, finance, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, data visualization, Power Query/Get & Transform Data).
- Experience with analytic and data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with programming languages (SQL, Python, R) is a plus.
- Ability to explore and build datasets and data models to derive insights.
- Good communication skills; ability to interact with stakeholders and translate data insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, ability to multitask, and think critically.
- Skills: Data visualization, data modeling, data analysis.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Develop, maintain, and communicate reporting, dashboards, and analyses on business metrics and challenges.
- Work with stakeholders and senior analysts to create and update functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
- Support consistent, reliable access to internal and external customer data.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure their data and reporting needs are met, providing relevant insights.
- Promote user engagement and adoption of data consumption tools across the organization, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Stay current on analytic best practices and tools to continually improve your approach.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions to build your technical competency in BI tools and data analysis techniques.
