Analytics Engineer
As an Analytics Engineer, you will create analysis-ready datasets, turn data into actionable insights to drive innovation and use analytics to creatively tackle exciting healthcare problems. You will report to the Senior Manager of Data, Analytics & Strategy, a newly formed high-impact team that works directly with Eden C-level executives. This is a remote-first role and can be located anywhere in the United States.
Bridging the gaps between engineering and analytics, you will make valuable contributions to the entire data & analytics lifecycle: from data discovery (identify problems and collect data) and preparation (clean, integrate, and transform data) to utilization (analyze data, visualize results, and create recommendations). Your data and insights will accelerate our organization’s innovation and growth. Unlike traditional data modeling and analysis positions, you will have the unique opportunity to develop strong technical skills while gaining deep insights into care delivery and business strategies through direct exposure to both front-line clinicians and business executives.
What success looks like
- Develop a deep understanding of data from all sources (EHR system, mobile & web applications, third party data including healthcare claims, etc.).
- Build strong working relationships with various stakeholders and data owners: identify problems, translate business needs into data requirements, influence KPI development, and ensure appropriate data collection from new product features.
- Partner with engineering and analytics platform vendors to maintain the analytics data ELT pipeline and ensure analytics data warehouse’s data accuracy, completeness, reliability, relevance, and timeliness.
- Create timely and effective reports, visualizations, analyses, and recommendations to improve app engagement and patient care journey.
- Explore data-driven innovation opportunities, e.g. integrate 3rd party data sources, build machine learning models to predict demand and explore applications of AI tools such as GPT.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience working in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering, with proven ability to extract and transform data, create data models, build effective visualizations, and derive insights from analyses.
- Advanced SQL skills and working experience using Python to conduct analysis and build predictive models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to break down business problems into key components, ask insightful questions, design analytical frameworks/models, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional communications skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical colleagues.
- A high level of initiative and drive with a natural curiosity to analyze and improve business processes and results.
- Big plus: familiarity with healthcare data and event-based app data; experience working with AWS and Looker.
- And most importantly, a strong desire to learn & grow while making a difference in healthcare.
