Analytics Engineer
The software engineering team at Form builds innovative tools and applications that streamline operations all across Form, from product development and manufacturing to sales, finance, and fleet operations. We’re a Python/React/AWS shop and use a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster.
As a member of the data platform team, you will work at the intersection of the analytics engineering and business intelligence functions at Form. This may mean helping our partner teams (e.g. manufacturing, operations) to define data requirements, creating data models in our Snowflake data warehouse, or designing dashboards to capture key business metrics and insights. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with our partner teams to scope new data and reporting needs, as well as leading technical deep dives on data in unfamiliar domains.
What You'll Do:
- Build, review, and optimize data models/transformations in our data warehouse
- Work with our partner teams across Form to define and codify key business metrics
- Lead development of dashboards and coach others to create their own
- Manage how our data warehouse interacts with BI and analytics tools including Sigma, JMP, and Hex. This may include managing these environments and providing support to users
- Work closely with other Software teams to ensure that data are consistent across sources upstream and the data warehouse. This will be in an environment where schema migrations are frequent for existing data sources and new sources are regularly introduced.
- Help to build a strong data culture at Form
- Act as a collaborative member of a distributed software engineering team
What You'll Bring:
- Passion for our mission, sustainability, and fighting climate change
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, data scientist, or other data professional
- Experience using BI tools like Sigma, Looker, Tableau, or Superset with data visualization best practices
- Strong SQL and Python skills and experience working with at least one cloud data warehouse like Snowflake, Big Query, or Redshift
- Solid understanding of git and version control principles
- Experience working with ERP, PLM, and/or MES systems is desirable but not required
- Curiosity, creativity, and tenacity when it comes to problem solving
The salary range for this role is $108,045-$153,270
