International Analytics Engineer

Position Summary:
The International Analytics Engineer is part of a growing Data Science and Data Product team that seeks a hands-on solutions-minded individual that will build analytics pipelines that support the NBA's international regions. Reporting to the Data Product Manager-Analytics Engineering, this role will focus on designing scalable solutions that support data ingest, transformation, and output to international offices. Experience in data modeling with dbt, Snowflake, customer data, and global initiatives are sought. Occasional travel may be required for this role.
Major Responsibilities:
- Primarily be responsible for the technical management and growth of the NBA's international data marts and data models
- Optimize workflow efficiencies, prioritizing inbound data requests, reducing work in progress, and ensuring projects meet deadlines
- Streamline data and information flows for NBA team fan data, NBA League Pass, nationally televised games, NBA Store, email marketing, in-app marketing, and other Direct to Consumer (DTC) initiatives from an international perspective
- Work with solutions architects, data scientists, data analysts, product managers, BI developers, and data engineers to scope tasks and ensure completion
- Manage project management software and PM-software integrations for growing analytics team
- Collaborate with stakeholders from around the globe in order to meet their data needs.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 2+ years' experience as an analytics engineer
- 2+ years' experience with dbt, SQL, and customer data
- 1+ years' experience in Azure DevOps, Jira, Asana or other PM software
- QA & UAT experience
- Experience with Python or R Data analysis and data model understanding
- Strong collaborator
- Experience in Sports a plus
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced degree, preferred
Salary:
- $90,000 to $115,000
