We are seeking a skilled Analytics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining the models and infra to support data processing and customer insights. This role is either for a head of, lead or senior role depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms.
  • Build and maintain DBT models to support customer projects and internal decision making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable deliverables.
  • Work with external customers and partners to ensure data products align with business goals.
  • Implement and manage product analytics tools like Mixpanel, ensuring accurate data tracking and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing data workflows and proactively address technical debt.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles in a startup environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with DBT for data modeling and transformations.
  • Previous experience building out data analytics platforms from scratch.
  • Strong experience with modern data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools like Mixpanel (or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and pipeline management.
  • Proven ability to manage and own data products end-to-end.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) for data storage and processing.
  • Familiarity with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Metabase, etc).

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools for analyzing unstructured text data.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and big data processing technologies.
  • Familiarity with time-series data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data formats like FHIR and CCDA.
