About the Role
As an Analytics Engineer, you will develop and maintain data products that will help guide decisions across the company. You will join an early stage data team where you will have a direct impact on growth. This role will expose you to the full data life cycle as you partner closely with stakeholders and build our data practice. We operate as a centralized data team and value a generalist skill set.
This role is based in Denver, CO. Our team works as a hybrid team, with engineers typically in office 2-3 days per week.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with teams across the company to assess needs, translate requirements and develop data products within a modern data stack (dbt, Snowflake, Sigma, Fivetran, Rudderstack and Prefect).
- Build, maintain, refactor and optimize data models in our dbt project with a focus on data governance, data quality, and DRY development practices.
- Identify, define, design and track metrics that inform the business and guide product development.
- Design, conduct, analyze and report results from A/B tests for product, engineering and marketing teams.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to surface insights with teams across the company.
Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)
- 2+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer or data analyst.
- 1+ years developing in dbt, ideally in support of product analytics.
- 1+ years of experience creating visualizations within a BI platform.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with data modeling and ELT development principles.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and A/B testing best practices.
- Experience with version control via git.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

Nice to Have
- Prior experience in health tech with a working knowledge of data security considerations.
- Professional experience with a modern data stack.
- Professional experience with Python or R.
- Familiarity with concepts of applied machine learning.
- Experience with an orchestration framework.
What to Expect During the Interview Process
- Introductory meeting with the Lead Analytics Engineer (½ hour).
- A short at-home technical assessment (1 - 2 hours).
- Technical interview and review of the assessment with the SVP of Engineering and Lead Analytics Engineer (1 hour).
- 1 - 2 panel interviews with 3 - 4 representatives from other teams within Nymbl (1 hour each).
