As an Analytics Engineer in the newly forming data team at Ophelia, you will be responsible for building and maturing the data warehouse for analytics, reporting, and research. That includes building a robust data pipeline with a scalable data model, pulling in data from the electronic medical records system (EMR), published events, the customer relationship management system (CRM), and many other sources. As one of the initial hires in this team, you will collaborate across departments to understand needs and prioritize work. You will also be expected to deliver stellar data work while employing an agile methodology.

“Data” today centers around business operations analytics, which requires a sound data engineering base. Over time, this team will likely expand to include key focus areas around clinical analytics, clinical research, and data science capabilities, amongst others.

Our data systems today are nascent yet burgeoning. We’re based in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Rudderstack, Snowflake, and Looker. Data is already deeply ingrained in our corporate culture: you’ll witness our team already speaking with data and many leaders querying data directly. But there’s a lot of room for improvement!

In this fully remote role, you will report to our Senior Director of Data and be a peer to other analysts and analytics engineers as the team grows. You will work with the larger Technology Team at the company to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, ultimately to help us improve patient care. You will be responsible for all analytics data, ensuring high quality availability of that data through the supporting systems. You will own the population of data in all data products as well as the infrastructure, set tests, and alerts to ensure the ongoing quality of data.

Together, we’ll help hard-to-reach people treat their opioid dependence. You may not have experience in this treatment area, but ideally you’ll have knowledge of the healthcare space, including understanding health outcomes and benchmarks, systems, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).
