The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about improving products through data insights and also possesses the deep technical proficiency required to build the data pipelines that power our analytics. An understanding of blockchain technology and DeFi protocols, especially within the Solana ecosystem, is highly desired. However, an eagerness to learn and the ability to quickly master new skills is the most important.
What you’ll do

- Leverage off-the-shelf tools such as Dune Analytics for immediate impact while working cross functionally to define and implement our long-term data strategy.
- Design and implement a robust data pipeline and ETL process to power our analytics for business intelligence purposes.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to collaborate on technical architecture and data best practices.
- Combine onchain and offchain analysis to tell a cohesive data story and how it applies to the business or products involved.
- Evaluate and integrate data visualization tools such as Tableau or Apache Superset that will be used to gain insights and inform business decisions.
- Generate clear and concise reports to communicate key findings and recommendations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose strategies for continuous product improvement.
What you’ll bring
- Familiarity with blockchain and DeFi metrics, particularly within the Solana ecosystem.
- Experience with blockchain analytics platforms, such as Dune Analytics, or the ability to quickly master new tools.
- Proficiency in working with various data sources, including APIs, RDBMS, structured and unstructured data, demonstrating the ability to ingest data from many sources.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and query execution.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective data dashboards and analytics strategies.
- Ownership mentality: if you see a better way, you work with others to get it done.
- Desire to delve into raw data to uncover behavioral trends and insights. This curiosity fuels the drive to explore data that is relevant to the organization's business goals.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with BI tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or other similar tools for data visualization and reporting.
- Significant experience personally using Orca and other Solana DeFi protocols.
