Analytics Engineer, Marketing Analytics
The Marketing Analytics team at Peloton is a full-stack team responsible for data, analytics, and predictive modeling to accelerate and optimize subscription growth across all marketing channels. The team consists of 3 functional areas: Measurement and Investment Optimization, Growth Analytics, and Analytics Engineering.
Peloton is looking for a dedicated Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Engineering team to build and maintain foundational data infrastructure crucial to growing and scaling our acquisition marketing efforts. In this role, you will own significant portions of our marketing data from end-to-end, including data ingestion, transformation, and visualization, and design our data architecture to ensure outstanding operational reliability and modularity.
This role will report to the Senior Manager of Marketing Analytics Engineering. The ideal candidate combines business acumen and communication skills with technical skills, and has experience translating business needs into technical requirements to ultimately deliver performant, accurate, and scalable data models.
Your Daily Impact at Peloton
- Connect with internal stakeholders to understand business context and build data infrastructure that satisfies business needs
- Design, build, and maintain critical data pipelines and dashboards to ensure highly accurate and reliable business reporting
- Supervise daily job execution as well as diagnose/fix issues to ensure SLAs are met with internal stakeholders
- Identify data discrepancies and maintain clear and up-to-date code to ensure business requirements and ETL logic match
- Make data model and ETL code improvements to improve pipeline efficiency and data quality
- Contribute to our Looker data models by creating and maintaining new and existing Explores/Views
- Own data import/export pipelines
You Bring to Peloton
- Education or work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics engineering, business intelligence, or technical data analytics role
- Experience with SQL and ETL optimization techniques, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or Redshift
- Command-line experience and familiarity with version control software (git)
- Experience with data pipeline management technologies with dependency checking, such as Airflow, as well as schema design and dimensional data modeling tools (dbt)
- Experience with data visualization technologies, such as Looker or Tableau
- Experience in LookML Development
- Experience with Python, data ingestion tools (such as Fivetran, Stitch, Alooma, or Matillion), and the AWS ecosystem (Redshift, S3, Spectrum)
- A high degree of motivation to be proactive and go above and beyond the task at hand
- Ability to demonstrate tools, business intuition, and attention to detail for data validation and QA
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical or sophisticated matters to less technical co-workers
- Experience working with digital and offline media data (such as Facebook, Google, programmatic, tv, streaming audio) and an understanding of digital marketing measurement concepts (ie. Multi-touch attribution)
Base Salary: $117,700.00 to $152,900.00
