Analytics Engineer, Sr. Manager

The Analytics Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end management of data for the organization, including ingestion, transformation and quality control.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates intimate-level abilities and/or a proven record of success managing efforts with identifying and addressing client needs:
- Demonstrating advanced statistical knowledge with preference given to experience with time-series forecasting and machine learning;
- Demonstrating advanced knowledge of software engineering industry-leading practices, including version control, Github, testing, and validation;
- Performing complex data analysis using tools such as Python (pandas, Anaconda python distribution), experience with R for data analysis is a plus;
- Demonstrating experience with API or rest service integrations, advanced SQL (common table expressions, use of temp tables, indexing), and other technical methods to extract and combine data from various sources;
- Demonstrating experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure as well as data transformation tools such as SSIS, Informatica, and DBT;
- Demonstrating experience working with financial data providers such as S&P Global, Refinitiv, Dealogic, or Audit Analytics;
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of large and complex datasets;
- Building and managing ETL processes to transform data and schedule jobs;
- Working on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Demonstrating a conviction to high standards for data quality with a client-service focus;
- Taking ownership for developing relationships across the organization and serving as a data SME;
- Working independently and with a team and able to efficiently communicate in written and verbal formats to both technical and non-technical audiences, establish relationships and work well across functions;
- Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting development and production environments;
- Translating business logic into modeling data transformations;
- Collaborating with other areas of the firm to source data as needed;
- Creating leverage for more senior team members, and allowing the team to respond more flexibly and quickly to requests;
- Collaborating with data owners to develop and implement key initiatives;
- Managing and monitoring data attributes standards and definitions;
- Overseeing the interaction of data requests from data owners to facilitate data consumption;
- Defining data integration initiatives and remediation efforts for your teams in various data projects;
- Possessing facilitation skills and the ability to coach/teach others;
- Demonstrating written and verbal communication skills, including problem/conflict resolution skills; and,
- Having direct engagement with functional leaders/staff and LOS leaders/staff.
