About the job
As our Senior Startup Analytics Engineer for our Startup Solutions team, you will help both internal departments and startups in our portfolio be data-driven from day one. You will work with department leads and founding teams to define data driven KPIs, configure modern data stacks, and implement data dashboards. To achieve these goals, you will need to both listen to our stakeholders needs, and provide guidance on best practices for using data in their decision making processes.
In this role, you will work closely with the data engineering, and data science groups at Redesign Health. These teams are engaged in centralizing and deriving insights from a collection of internal and external data sets about our operations, and the intersection of healthcare and finance.
You will report to and work with the Director of Data Science. The position can be fully remote within the United States or based out of our New York City headquarters.
What you’ll do
- Engage with key stakeholders including Venture Chairs, CEOs, and other founding team members at the operating companies (OpCos) to elicit and synthesize key requirements
- Roll out Business Intelligence services to internal departments and our startup portfolio
- This includes (1) providing leadership on standardizing the use and discovery of data across the organization, (2) training the relevant stakeholders on self-service data management and analytics, and (3) helping us understand and catalog the internal data we have available
- Configure relevant aspects of our modern data stack
- Ensure our data brokerage contracts meet the data usage needs across the organization
- Set up data transformations to provide reliable, aggregated data to dashboards
- Rapidly learn about a domain within healthcare such as oncology, veterinary medicine, actuarial science, just to name a few.
What you’ll need
- You have 4+ years total experience with Business Analytics
- You have 3+ years experience with BI/ Data Visualization, building dashboards (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, etc)
- You have 3+ years experience with SQL
- You have 3+ years of experience working at a consulting firm or client services group
- You bring experience building dbt models to transform and connect disparate raw data sources
What you will bring to the table
- You have proven technical ability with dbt, ETL, and SQL
- You have working knowledge and technical ability with BI / data visualization and dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc)

Full-time base salary range of $170,000.00 - $210,000.00 plus a competitive equity & benefits package.
