Analytics Engineer II

As an analytics engineer, you will enable stakeholders at Remitly to easily find the data they need to make decisions. You'll do this by contributing to a data mart strategy and using your technical skills to build it out. You'll partner with analysts, engineers, PMs and others to define the requirements while being accountable for delivering the end product. You will report to the Analytics Engineering Manager.

You Will:

  • Develop data marts and pipelines for several domains across the company
  • Collect requirements, define successful analytics outcomes and design data models
  • Author technical design documentation and write performant code
  • Help maintain the data catalog
  • Mentor less experienced engineers
  • Work remotely or from our office in downtown Seattle

You Have:

  • 3+ years as an analytics engineer or equivalent
  • Experience in dimensional modeling, pipeline design, implementation and maintenance
  • Proficient in SQL, spark and a programming language (ie Python, Java)
  • Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow
  • Experience with a cloud MPP database such as Snowflake or Redshift
  • Experience with git, CI/CD and DataOps best practices
