Rivian’s Self-Driving Insights Team is responsible for the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) analytics. To that end, we are developing world-class analytics that will support improving fully autonomous self-driving for Rivian vehicles. We are seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer who is detail oriented, data-driven problem solver with the technical ability to shed light on performance and productivity, among other critical aspects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and develop secure, scalable, high-performance, and reliable (cost-effective) big data and analytics solutions that enable Tableau dashboards and reports for cross-functional teams and executives.
- Examine key self-driving data by identifying, cleaning, and providing analysis and insights into vehicle and driver behavior.
- Build dashboards, tools, and other data models for business groups to help visualize or monitor self-driving data. Providing ongoing data mining efforts to key in on trends and areas of continuous ADAS feature improvement.
- Provide feature performance insights for senior management using ad-hoc analyses and dashboard visualizations.
- Work across ADAS teams to develop analytic and reporting solutions, and ad-hoc analyses that provide insights based on their specific data and visualization requirements
- Guide and train teams on the best practices for building state-of-the-art Tableau visualizations.
Qualifications
- Experience with leading detailed data investigations and analyzing trends to answer business questions that lead to insights and actionable outcomes, including making recommendations to leadership on key analysis and findings.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause investigations using data and visualizations
- Independent self-starter with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience leading in a dynamic and agile environment requiring high adaptability, management of multiple projects, excellent cross-functional communication, and presentation skills.
- BS in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- 7+ years’ experience creating complex dashboards and data stories using Tableau (Tableau certification as Specialist or Data Analyst is a plus)
- 5+ years’ SQL experience.
- Experience with AWS, Databricks, and Python or similar technologies at a basic/comprehension level is required.
- Knowledge of Tableau APIs in support of developing administration-related tools and operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to break down complex technical problems into simple elegant visualization solutions understandable by non-technical business partners.
