We are looking for a technical analytics engineer with experience in business intelligence/analytics space who is comfortable talking to business user groups to understand data needs and is able to write SQL transformations on structured data to present analysis back in Tableau to the business users. To be more specific we are looking for someone to come in and understand our product and customer data and map it to data points so we can tell a story around our customer utilization. This is an influential role which will have an outsized impact on customer facing field teams.

Some of the work you will be doing involves,

  • Developing, automating, and taking ownership of data models, analyses, and visualizations that empower our business teams to understand the journey of MuleSoft customers and their utilization.
  • Answering open ended questions by extracting deep insights from datasets.
  • Producing automated reports on top of a data warehouse.
  • Keeping things accurate and reliable by writing data tests, troubleshooting data pipelines, and digging into source code.

About the Team

You will be joining a newly formed MuleSoft Analytics team within Data & Analytics Customer Success Pillar. Our focus has been to deliver dbtvalue to our field teams. The team has had some huge success driving business value by providing insights into Product usage and adoption and we want to build upon this success.

About You

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering
  • At least 5 years of Work experience working on Analytics or Data Science.
  • You have experience working with BI tools (Tableau, dbt, Snowflake), data modeling layers, 3rd-party API integrations, and data orchestration tools that will help you get going.
  • You have strong instincts and judgment about the business-side implications of data analysis and you pride yourself on writing performant, easy-to-read SQL & Python.
  • You are as comfortable working with git, the command line, and dev environments as you are collaborating with business stakeholders at all levels of seniority to understand their data needs.
  • Your written communication is clear and you have the ability to distill complex ideas into accurate and easily understandable takeaways will be keys to your success.
