For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $97,300 to $133,800.

Overview of the Role:
The Tableau Global Licensing Programs ("GLP") team drives the success of Tableau's Software and Services business within Salesforce by leveraging our expertise to help Salesforce enable, understand and durably grow our business through ongoing stakeholder success. We derive, consolidate, and communicate licensing knowledge, pursue internal and external programmatic enhancements and automation for maximum benefit, and influence product feature development to drive license transparency and self-sufficiency for both the business and our customers. GLP apply our expertise across multiple domains, including Product Management, Consulting, Knowledge Management, License Support, and Data Analytics & Engineering (DA&E).
GLP are seeking an experienced and dynamic data professional to lead our efforts in the DA&E domain as a Senior Licensing Analytics Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring licensing data availability, accuracy and fitness for business requirements, providing world-class support and data-driven insights to cross-functional and external parties, and driving operational efficiency and scale through process design and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain gold standard resources for licensing-related data and insights, including production-ready datasets, analytical templates and operational workflows, aligning them with supported Salesforce data architecture and related requirements.
- Provide analytical toolsets/frameworks that allow GLP to consistently understand Tableau customer deployment practices, license utilization levels, entitlement rights, and compliance status to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.
- Design and implement automated processes to drive efficiency, prevent fulfillment errors, and ensure consistently smooth operations based on reliably current and curated data.
- Partner with GLP colleagues of diverse skillsets to deliver across and beyond the scope of DA&E to support success in related domains of Product Management, Consulting, and Knowledge Management.
- Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams, leveraging Tableau product capabilities and complementary tools to deliver on GLP initiatives and support scalable operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in the Software industry working in Data Analytics/Engineering, Business Analysis, or similar roles.
- Detail focused with strong analytical acumen, including the capability to synthesize large and disparate data sets to derive novel insights.
- Deep familiarity with Tableau products and their effective application to rapidly deliver insights to individuals of varying personas.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and business-standard data management and transformation tools (e.g., Snowflake, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate nuanced concepts clearly across all organizational levels.
