Analytics Engineer
The Podcast Mission develops strategies and builds products that serve creators and listeners interested in podcast and video content. As the #1 podcast platform in the world, we look to continue improving and scaling the experience of podcasts on Spotify. We build and maintain products like Spotify for Podcasters, Megaphone, and Chartable, and are always eager to provide creators with easy ways to increase their audiences on Spotify and give them new innovative means for monetization.
Within the Podcast Mission, the Podcast Mission Insights (PMI) team works to inform and inspire this vision. We are a team of data scientists, researchers, and analytics engineers who love this space and are passionate about providing the strategic guidance and measurements required to build world-class products.
What You'll Do
- Help build and maintain Podcast Mission’s data stack, which includes building/improving pipelines, unit testing, alerting and handling migrations
- Work with engineering and product to proactively understand changes in data that will impact analytics data infrastructure
- Provide data analysis and strategic direction towards infrastructural projects that impact the tech and product health of Spotify for Podcasters
- Build and maintain ETL solutions for third-party tools such as Braze, Salesforce, etc.
- Contribute to the development of the growing Analytics Engineering function and wider analytics and Data Science community at Spotify
- Develop a deep appreciation of the podcast creator landscape and how podcasters engage with our products
Who You Are
- Deeply curious; interested in the current and future creator ecosystem
- You have 3+ years of experience in a similar role developing and maintaining data pipelines and working with large-scale data using SQL and Python. Knowledge of Google BigQuery is a plus
- Expert knowledge of dbt and other modern data tools like Fivetran
- Experience in conducting ETL with large and complicated datasets and handling DAG data dependencies
- Hands-on experience with cloud provider integration and automation via CLIs and APIs
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
- Capable of navigating ambiguity and solving loosely defined problems
The United States base range for this position is $ 107,765 - $ 153,951, plus equity.
