Staff Analytics Engineer
The Rounds is seeking a data enthusiast to join our team as a Staff Analytics Engineer. As a data-driven organization, The Rounds relies on our data stack to enable self-service analytics, iterate on current key product and business metrics, and dive into complex datasets to answer business-critical questions. In this role, you will work closely with the product, engineering, and business analytics organizations to ensure we collect the right data and structure it in a scalable way. You’ll work with world class tools like Fivetran, Snowflake, and DBT. Responsibilities Include:
- Design and implement DBT models to clean, aggregate, and compute key events
- Implement ETL and reverse ETL pipelines using off-the-shelf tools
- Document and standardize our event tracking schema across all our apps
- Build integrations that connect our data with critical tools like marketing automation or product analytics
- Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and business teams to drive critical company initiatives
- Partner with our business intelligence team to design and implement dashboards and data visualizations
- Drive a culture of rapid experimentation on the product and engineering teams
What You Bring:
- Experienced. 8+ years relevant experience at product-driven companies, likely early-stage. Experience working on consumer or retail/delivery products is a plus.
- A SQL expert. You have tackled a wide range of SQL challenges and understand how to create clarity in what can be a very messy world
- Experienced with the modern data and analytics stack (Fivetran / Snowflake / dbt / Segment or equivalents)
- Familiar with javascript and python for scripting and data processing
- Iterative. You thrive in a fast-paced environment; at The Rounds we move quickly and love to test things out with our members.
- Familiar with basic security and access control best practices across the data stack
- Collaborative and communicative. The Rounds runs on cross-functional teams. You enjoy working with passionate, communicative people and you can articulate your thinking clearly and gain the trust of stakeholders.
The base salary for this full-time position, which spans across multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $184,000 - $225,000 plus benefits & equity.
