We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Central Data Team. In this role, you will leverage analytics to drive growth and efficiency as we enter the next phase of the company’s evolution. You will have the opportunity to solve challenging macro business problems, collaborate with cross functional teams, and have direct ownership in driving value across the organization.
In this role, you will:
- Define and Develop Key Business Metrics. You’ll collaborate with business partners to define metrics for sales, membership, revenue and operational-related initiatives; you'll work within the central data organization in modeling and maintaining KPIs.
- Enable functional analytics team to deliver key dashboards and reports. You’ll own the development of metrics, data models and the underlying logic that powers the key dashboards and reporting. Ensure the delivery of high-quality analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making by leadership. Guide and manage projects from conception to completion.
- Serve as a Cross-Functional Data Subject Matter Expert. You’ll act as both the technical and business expert to help streamline decision-making between our technology team, and core business functions, including sales, finance and operations. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Ensure Data Integrity and Quality. Ensure Data Integrity and Quality Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to core KPIs. Coordinate with data practitioners and stakeholders to maintain a single source of truth, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data across the organization.
- Mentor and Develop Junior Team Members: Provide guidance, training, and support to junior analytics engineers and data practitioners. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
- Lead Analytical Projects. Take ownership of complex analytical projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Utilize project management best practices to coordinate efforts and optimize workflows.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you meet the qualifications below:
Core competencies and technical skills:
- 5+ years experience working in analytical capacity modeling and/or interpreting data (e.g. data analyst, data science, data engineer, consultant)
- Highly skilled in writing, optimizing, and interpreting complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data efficiently.
- Advanced experience building and maintaining dashboards using data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- In-depth understanding of databases and data structures. Proven experience in building and maintaining data models using modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, Airflow, and DBT.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with cross-functional stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for their data needs.
- Strong intuition for understanding underlying business needs and the ability to navigate and clarify ambiguous requirements.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering).
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working with CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc) software and data, or have worked on measuring sales performance indicators.
- Experience with Financial Data (e.g. workday financials)
- Prior experience in Sales Focused Roles, Analytics Consulting, or a Growth Stage company
- Experience with Git and CI CD workflows
- Experience with Cloud Services (AWS or GCP)
