Fortell is hiring an Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation for a fast-moving AI company. This role sits between product, go-to-market, finance, and leadership teams, turning raw operational and customer data into the metrics, models, and reporting the business needs to make decisions.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain analytics-ready data models, transformations, and dashboards for core business workflows.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define shared metrics and make self-service reporting more reliable.
  • Improve data quality, documentation, and trust across the analytics stack.
  • Use SQL, dbt, Python, and modern BI tooling to turn ambiguous questions into clear analysis.

What you bring

  • Experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with hands-on experience using dbt or similar transformation tooling.
  • Comfort working in a startup environment where requirements change quickly and ownership matters.
  • Clear communication skills and an interest in helping non-technical teammates use data well.
