TPG is looking for an Analytics Engineer who can build analytics solutions from the ground up — from data ingestion through data modeling to final analytics delivery. This role will sit within our Analytics Engineering team and is ideal for someone who has experience owning the full lifecycle of a data solution, working across modern tools like Power BI and Databricks AI/BI, and translating raw data into trusted, decision-ready insights.
Principal responsibilities
- Build reliable, scalable, and high-performance data solutions to deliver trusted datasets, semantic layers, and AI-ready data.
- Drive the evolution of data solutions delivery by adopting AI-enabled tools and practices that modernize workflows and scale team operations.
- Uses AI tools like Claude, Chat GPT, etc. to improve development efficiency, provide powerful data insights, and
- Design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions using tools such as Power BI and Databricks AI/BI.
- Maintain and develop ETL/ELT frameworks for structured and semi-structured data sourced from SQL databases, APIs, SaaS applications, and data lake storage.
- Implement transformation logic using PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake within a medallion (bronze/silver/gold) architecture.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and front-office stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reconciliation accuracy across source systems and downstream reporting layers.
- Document data flows, models, and pipelines to support audit readiness and knowledge continuity.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, BI development, or data engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Solid expertise with SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, and AI/BI tools.
- Solid experience with data modeling (dimensional modeling, semantic layers, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development across SQL, APIs, SaaS platforms, and data lake storage.
- Familiarity with PySpark, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture concepts is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently on end-to-end data solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with the transition from traditional data solutions teams to advanced, AI-enabled teams, actively leveraging tools to modernize and scale operations.
- Experience with Databricks as a core analytics/ETL platform.
- Exposure to financial services, Treasury, or fund administration data (e.g., Investran, Workday, Geneva, GTreasury).
- Experience supporting audit-ready or compliance-sensitive reporting environments.
